Over the last few weeks, we have been busy working with film-makers Helen and Kamal on location in three of our case study areas in Scotland and England.

We followed three people with learning disabilities as they went about their daily lives. Their activities included working and volunteering, cooking, shopping and using public transport, and attending advocacy group and disability partnership board meetings. We even managed to fit in a boat trip!

Our participants also shared their thoughts on film, as we interviewed them on location, alongside key people from their communities who support them.

We hope this will showcase some of the activities and the achievements of the people who have participated in our research, whilst highlighting some of the challenges they and their peers face, and their hopes and concerns for the future.

We will now begin editing all the footage to create a 10-minute film which we will be showing at events and on our new project website which we will be launching later this year.
