Presented by Melanie Nind at the NNDR (Nordic Network on Disability Research) Conference in May 2019.
The paper discussed evidence from the research of networks or communities fostering social learning through sharing information and experiences, learning from and helping each other with challenges. Melanie argued that community learning took years to develop and that reciprocal peer-to-peer learning did not mean no staff involvement, instead mediation by others was often helpful.
